This is a rather random post but we do rather random things sometimes. Troy is working late in the day and Sunday afternoons can be long sometimes. This Sunday we decided to take a walk to what we call the "crystal ponds". This is a rather fancy name for ponds that have never actually held more than a foot or so of water yet. But there are some amazing crystal rocks to find down in them and so the kids named them as such....."the crystal ponds." If we are not looking for pretty rocks than we enjoy climbing the dirt mounds or crunching the dry clay "puzzle pieces" under our feet.
Jaxon climbed to the very top of the island and has just realized how very high up he is.

Lacey found a secret hole behind a loose rock. Immediately ideas of buried treasure & time capsules fill her mind. She is always full of ideas.
Kasen insisted that I take a picture of him as the lion king on his personal "pride rock."
stickers or hot soil I can't remember which complaint.
Either way taking a picture of it made it all better.

After our little outing we got home just in time for popcorn and stories and bedtime.
