June 13 Jaxon turned 4. He had been waiting a whole year for his birthday and when your 3 and you count sleeps to keep track of time that seems like a reeeeeeeally long time!
Lacey Got up early with a sweet plan to surprise Jaxon with his favorite breakfast pancakes.
I did nothing to help by the time I made it into the kitchen she was already flipping cakes.
Jaxon was so happy, he felt so loved & special with his very own teddy bear pancake from Sissy.
It was a major busy week and I completely failed in the cake department. I tried for cupcakes and burned all 24 of them so Jaxon and I took a drive and he picked out his train cake! It could not have been more perfect he was pleased and I felt (mostly) redeemed as a mother.
Then we went and got his balloons! He was so excited at this point we could have called it a birthday and left it at that.
Jaxon barely took the time to make a wish and blow his candles out before diving in with his fork.
His blue tongue lasted the rest of the day.
We had planned a simple family party and I put Lacey& Baylee in charge of games they set up a fun carnival in the playroom. We ended up with neighbors and friends over too. It turned into quite a large birthday bash and was so much fun. We are glad everyone felt welcome.
Afterwards I let the boys take the balloons out and fly them like kites in the wind. Canyon thought this was the best part.

Jaxon is so happy to be 4 he keeps telling everyone how old he is.
"I'm big now Mom cuz I'm 4"
Its been a few weeks and he is still basking in the glow of his birthday!
Canyon loves birthdays lots of snacks and new toys to play with.
