Lacey Jean Merrill was baptized a member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
on
Saturday May 22, 2010
Baptism is all about making covenants with the Lord.
Lacey learned that a covenant is a two way promise between her and God.
She promises to always remember him and to keep his commandments.
He promises her great blessings even the gift of the holy spirit to be with her always.
She was washed clean and learned that she can remain free from sin as she repents daily.
A Special Day with Dad.
Lacey was baptized two weeks earlier than planned. So she could attend the Gila valley Temple Dedication with us.
Her Grandma Merrill gave her a white hankercheif that belonged to her great grandmother for the occasion.
It was another special day Lacey got to learn more about the temple and said she really enjoyed being there.

Lacey went up to the temple in her white dress for pictures. She expressed her desire to get married in the Snowflake Temple. She has righteous desires. She understands that being baptized is the first step.
We love you Lacey and we will do all we can to help you reach your goals.
Her pink CTR ring. A reminder to always choose the right.

Many of our family and friends came to share this special day with
Lacey. We can always count on you to show your love and support.
Westen shared his favorite scripture with Lacey.
Rustin gave her a pearl and told her to keep a positive attitude and make the most of life's irritations
just like an oyster.
Aunt Natalie gave a wonderful presentation on the gift of the holy ghost.
Showing her the many ways this gift will help her throughout her life.
Many others shared advice, meaningful gifts, loving praise, and support for Lacey.
It was so touching to me to see that it takes all of us to care for each member of our family.
Thank you for all you give and the many ways you help and teach and love us.
I thought her baptism wasn't until June 5th. I am so sorry we missed it. She looks beautiful in her white dress. What a gorgeous 8 year old.
