Copper Queen Mine-Bisbee AZ

We took a day trip to Bisbee AZ with Grandpa & Grandma Merrill and Uncle Tracy.
We visited the Copper Queen mine.

Kasen was thrilled over this giant canteen.
He new exactly what it was and seemed quite pleased with himself for discovering it.

After poking around outside we went into the main building to buy are tickets and look at the displays.

GEODES by the dozens!

What a ding dong he is.

Tractors and dirt.....yeah! We could have gone home after this and the boys would have been satisfied.

Lacey found the perfect souvenir for herself...a moonstone butterfly.

We each had to be counted and got to wear a red tag. Even baby Canyon got to be counted.

We dressed in real mining gear...coats...hats...lights and all!

We loaded on these special rail cars

LACEY

JAXON

KASEN

RUSTIN

CANYON

And headed into the MiNE!!

OOOOH so dark! and COLD!

We went up and down and in and out of tunnels throughout the mine. It was very interesting to see the conditions the hardworking men endured.

Our two favorite items were these...The ROLLING PORT A POTTY...and the BIKE AND CART!
No plastic parts on these babies.

After wards we picniked at the gigantic open pit of the mine. We made PBJ's and ate fruit cheezeits and jelly beans. What a combination. Here we are all but the 10th Tracy who is behind the camera.

The old Town Bisbee feels like a place where time stood still. The old buildings are amazing.

Jaxon Got to be BIGGER and push Kasen in the Stroller. He was quite proud of himself.

The trip Ended with a pleasent drive home chasing thunderstorms and rain.
