Camping at Horseshoe Lake

Camping was wonderful! It rained everyday at least once and
the forest was lush and beautiful. This was my stomping ground every summer growing up so we visited all the favorite places. Including our old forts and our time capsule. The kids loved having endless amounts of time and places to have adventures. Here are a few we captured on camera...

Cousins with nets and fishing poles and crawdad traps.

The Columbine was in bloom every were the children enjoyed sucking the honey out of the tails.
Lacey and Kasen brought me a wildflower bouquet...my favorite!
(MOM I took this picture for you...we missed you.)

Canyon 5 minutes after we arrived had already tasted the dirt and found he loved it.

Lacey on Day 4 hadn't combed her hair yet. Still a cutie though.

Yummy wild strawberries!

Grandma and Kathy made camping so fun. We loved going for walks in the forest, enjoying the sunsets, kayaking on the lake cooking meals together and much more.

Being Brothers

Kathy took this great picture for me. I love it...me just being a mom.

We face painted and the forest went wild!

Lots of Mama ducks and her ducklings to take pictures of.

The big boys managed to catch 5 or 6 snakes and about 20 frogs of all kinds....not to mention a bigillion grasshoppers and worms.

I had such a good time taking pictures at sunset.

Frisbee golf games!

Bike rides and Tricks!

Simple pleasures in nature.

Muddy trails...snails and...

creatures to catch.

Fishing and Kayaking

Aunt Nat read stories to the kiddos.

Rustin found this baby duck abandoned...Troy took really good care of him...he was soooo cute so little.

Canyon was thrilled to find his own little pond to splash in.

CAMPING IS THE LIFE!
lets go again!
