These two were soooo excited to go back to school. Rustin is in the 7th grade (Junior High school)ugh!
Lacey is in the 3rd Grade (oldest in her primary school-Big Stuff!)

Rustin was thrilled that his feet have grown larger than mine.
We had to drop him off way early for school so I could take this picture of him by the LOBO.
And yes he still hugs and kisses me good bye. Well at least the first day.
The second day of school they had a social with music and dancing. Rustin came home from football so happy. "Mom, junior high is the best! The social was so fun I danced with 4 girls!"
Thanks to some encouragement from his cousin Brenna he got up the nerve to ask some friends to dance and decided that was way more fun.
Luckily he still likes Football more than Girls. He is doing really well in his classes so far and enjoys being treated like a responsible young adult.

Lacey was thrilled to have Mrs. Rawlins for her teacher. She is a good one!
Lacey was so funny...when entering her class she noticed everything was written in cursive. She Said "How will I find my desk is everything is written in cursive I won't be able to read it." She surprised herself and found it right off! She loves being a big kid at school. Some perks she has informed me of are:
3rd graders get to put up and take down the flag.
3rd graders feed and take care of Library pets.
3rd graders set the example for the whole school.
"Mom I stuck up for the little kids getting picked on I told those guys to leave them alone and start acting like 3rd graders! One kid pushed me so I said, sooo that's how you want to play this....you better run. The kid took off and I chased him all the way to the duty teacher, he learned his lesson."
She's such a crack up- at least her friends can count on her.
While the big kids went to school these little guys decided to get out the paint and have some fun.

Wala! Luv it!
The boys and I wanted to surprise Rustin and Lacey so we made a cake.
When Lacey got home she helped me decorate it!
She had great ideas and it turned out cute.

Cute kids!...and cute cake too, love it!
